When using Ticketleap to sell tickets online, we collect a small ticketing fee from each ticket sold. We only collect ticketing fees when your tickets are paid. There are no fees for free events. How we collect those fees depends on the payment provider you have set for your account, and how you're distributing ticket fees.
The three payment providers available are:
-
Paid by the buyer: Fees are automatically tacked onto the face value of the ticket at the time of purchase. The ticket buyer pays the face value of the ticket plus the ticketing fee.
-
Paid by me (the ticket seller): Fees are automatically deducted from your payment before processing. The ticket buyer only sees and pays the face value of the ticket.
-
Paid by the buyer: Fees are tacked onto the buyer's purchase, and go directly to your PayPal account along with your ticket revenue. Once a week, usually on Tuesdays, we invoice your account for the amount of fees owed to us for ticket sales from the previous week, usually the previous Tuesday to end of day Monday. For example, if your ticket's face value is $20, the buyer pays $21.40 (as a $1.40 ticket fee is added to the purchase price), and $21.40 will go into your PayPal account. When we bill your PayPal account via Autopay it would be billed for the $1.40 fee.

Paid by me (the ticket seller): We will invoice your PayPal account via Autopay, usually every Tuesday, for fees owed to us for ticket sales from the previous week (usually the previous Tuesday to end of day, Monday). If your ticket's face value is $20, the buyer pays $20 (as you're paying the $1.40 ticket fee), and $20 will enter your PayPal account. When we bill your PayPal account we then invoice you for $1.40, which can be deducted from your PayPal account.
-
Paid by the buyer: Fees are tacked onto the buyer's purchase, and enter your Authorize.net account. Once a week, usually on Tuesdays, we charge the credit card you have on file with us for the amount of fees owed to us for ticket sales from the previous week (usually the previous Tuesday to end of day, Monday). For instance, if your ticket's face value is $20, the buyer pays $21.40 (as a $1.40 ticket fee is added $1.40 to the purchase price), and $21.40 will go into your Authorize.net account. On Tuesday, we bill your credit card for said $1.40.
